To really experience golf in Washington State is to experience it here in Washington’s Playground. A serious golfer would never golf less than 3 courses on a long weekend, so this long weekend will have to look more like a week. Start off by chipping around the deer along the river and lake courses in Leavenworth, or over a fescue and sage crevasse in East Wenatchee. Then wave to your friend across the beautiful and mighty Columbia at the course in Malaga. Lake Chelan had one of 2009’s “top 10 PGA” courses up on Bear Mountain but you won’t want to miss their municipal course either. All in all, each of our courses adds in an additional handicap you might not be used to, incredible, breathtaking scenic beauty. Check out our championship putting greens too!
National Park campgrounds, rustic Alpine Lakes Wilderness tent spots or full service, luxury RV camping, your camping wish is our command. As our rivers and lakes open to more fishing, be sure to get your permit and catch your dinner! After a few days of exploring on your own efforts, get a little further on the efforts of our 4 legged friends and book a horseback ride for an hour or two from one of our 8 outfitters. Or plan a longer pack trip and getaway into the scenic hills of Washington’s Playground.
Water always means fun and here in Washington’s Playground we don’t mean RAIN! The sunny side of our state encourages water play on the finest level. Tsi-Laan, (Chelan) Indian for deep water is indeed an accurate description, and no better place for fun in the sun and sand and a multitude of water sports and cruises. 200 miles of scenic shorelines stretch along the Mighty Columbia River, Lake Chelan, Icicle and Wenatchee Rivers and over 50 Lakes and 80 streams. Your choice; tubing, rafting, floating, kayaking, jet skiing, water skiing, get wet – sun dry. It doesn’t get any better than this.
